Prof. Dr. Muayad Aghali Merza, Vice President of Nawroz University for Scientific Affairs, participated on Monday, 1 December 2025, in the World AIDS Day event held at the Duhok Polytechnic University Hall, following an official invitation from the Duhok Technical Institute.
Prof. Dr. Muayad Aghali Merza delivered a presentation titled:
“Management of HIV/AIDS”,
during which he highlighted key medical and health approaches to managing the disease and discussed the latest scientific recommendations for improving treatment strategies and enhancing community awareness.
The event also included several scientific presentations delivered by specialists from the health sector, focusing on the modes of HIV transmission, methods of prevention, and current public health efforts to control the spread of the virus.
The workshop concluded with an open discussion, during which participants exchanged questions, comments, and insights on best practices for combating HIV/AIDS and promoting public awareness.
