On Tuesday, June 22, 2025, and in the presence of Asst. Prof. Dr. Mevan Arif Abdulrahman, President of Nawroz University, and Colonel Imad Ajeel, Acting Director of Duhok Police, along with a group of university professors, the Legal Clinic at the College of Law and Political Science launched a specialized training course in collaboration with the General Directorate for Combating Violence Against Women and the Family in Duhok.
The course, titled:
"Political, Religious, and Social Dimensions within the Framework of the Domestic Violence Law in the Kurdistan Region – Law No. 8 of 2011,"
aimed to enhance the skills and capacities of police officers working in the Directorate for Combating Violence Against Women.
The program lasted for four consecutive days, covering a variety of key topics related to the theme.
