On Wednesday, 17 December 2025, at 11:30 a.m., Nawroz University held a special ceremony to commemorate Kurdistan Flag Day, attended by the President of the University, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mevan Arif Abdulrahman, the Vice Presidents, college deans, academic staff, and students.
The ceremony began with a moment of silence in honor of the martyrs of Kurdistan, followed by the raising of the Kurdistan Flag at the university campus.
The President of the University then delivered a speech highlighting the symbolism of the Kurdistan Flag and the historical, political, and national struggle of the Kurdish people. The event concluded with artistic and cultural activities accompanied by national songs, creating a vibrant and celebratory atmosphere across the university.
