According to the Times: Nawroz University Ranks First among Public and Private Universities in Duhok
In the latest international assessment of university classifications for the year 2024, based on the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings standards, Nawroz University ranks first among public and private universities in Duhok Governorate and seventh among universities in the Kurdistan Region.
This classification is one of the globally approved models, based on various criteria and standards that universities must adhere to. These criteria are centered on achieving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations.
In 2024, the evaluation was conducted based on how well universities met these goals, including factors such as the publication of scientific research, the university's focus on research, the development of external relations, the quality of lectures and accredited professors, and other standards related to the development process and sustainable projects undertaken by universities.
