In line with its commitment to advancing scientific research and strengthening its international academic presence, Nawroz University participated in the International Conference on the Role of Universities in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals (ICRU-SDGs), organized by the University of Duhok on September 23–24, 2025.
Dr. Haval Bangin Qasim, faculty member at the College of Administration and Economics, Nawroz University, presented his peer-reviewed research paper entitled:
"Measuring Manufacturing Sustainability Performance: A Deep Learning Framework for Global Carbon Intensity Assessment".
The acceptance and presentation of this study reflects the high academic standards of Nawroz University and highlights its active contribution to international academic dialogues.
Research Contribution
The study introduces a deep learning framework to assess global carbon intensity, providing a robust scientific tool for evaluating manufacturing sustainability performance. About the Conference
The conference was held under the theme: “Advancing Sustainable Development Goals through Education, Research, and Innovation”. It brought together researchers, academics, and policymakers from over 20 countries, alongside representatives from international partners such as TU Berlin (Germany), University of Graz (Austria), and VNG International.
The event featured diverse academic sessions focusing on education, research, innovation, and policies to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Selected contributions will be published in peer-reviewed journals indexed in Scopus.
