In the presence of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Nawroz University took part in the first Academic Olympics for Kurdistan Region universities, hosted by the University of Halabja.
Nawroz University excelled in table tennis, securing first place in singles and second place in doubles.
The Nawroz table tennis team included:

• Lawin Jasem (College of Administration and Economics)
• Pirs Ali Hassan (College of Languages)
• Diyar Zakri (College of Languages)
  The tournament featured 16 universities and lasted several days, starting from July 21, 2024.
