College of Law and Politics

As part of the memorandum of understanding between the College of Law and Politics at Nawroz University and the Directorate for Combating Violence Against Women and Family in Duhok Governorate, the College organized a scientific visit for law students on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, under the supervision of the Dean, Prof. Dr. Dilshad Abdulrahman.
During the visit, Colonel Walat Sadiq Ibrahim warmly welcomed the delegation of Nawroz University students and delivered a lecture on the activities and services provided by the Directorate. This was followed by Colonel Nihad Ali, Head of the Legal Department, who spoke about investigative procedures and Law No. (8) of 2011 on combating domestic violence in the Kurdistan Region.
The main objective of this activity was to raise students’ awareness of mechanisms for protecting families and reducing the phenomenon of violence in society.
