Duhok, May 17, 2025 — Nawroz University hosted a workshop titled “KAAE - The Accreditation Process in Kurdistan”, organized by the Kurdistan Accrediting Association for Education (KAAE). The event took place on campus and was attended by Asst. Prof. Dr. Mevan Arif Abdulrahman, President of Nawroz University, alongside the Vice Presidents, deans, and a large number of faculty members.

The session was moderated by Prof. Dr. Muyad Aghaly, Vice President for Scientific Affairs. Dr. Honar Issa, Secretary-General of KAAE and an international accreditation evaluator, led the workshop.

• KAAE’s mission and accreditation framework
• Institutional eligibility and candidacy criteria
• The Tripod of Education Quality: students, faculty, and the education system
• Strategic planning and self-assessment for accreditation readiness

Participants also engaged in meaningful discussions on practical steps toward achieving quality assurance and institutional improvement.
